Jeffrey M. ThompsonPresident, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Thompson co-founded Towerstream in December 1999 with Philip Urso. Mr. Thompson has served as a director since inception and as chief operating officer from inception until November 2005 when Mr. Thompson became president and chief executive officer. In 1995, Mr. Thompson co-founded and was vice president of operations of EdgeNet Inc., a privately held Internet service provider (which was sold to Citadel Broadcasting Corporation in 1997 and became eFortress ("eFortress")) through 1999. Mr. Thompson holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts.

Mel YarbroughVice President of Sales

As VP of Sales for Towerstream, Yarbrough is responsible for expanding the company's reach in existing and future markets. As such, Yarbrough oversees the strategic growth and business development activities for Towerstream. Subsequently, Yarbrough is charged with the leadership of the Sales, Marketing, and Installations departments.
Mr. Yarbrough comes to Towerstream from Hoovers (D&B; Dun and Bradstreet), where he served as VP of Business Development and VP of Subscription Sales. Prior to joining D&B, Yarbrough spent nearly a decade in several executive sales and marketing positions, including roles at StarCite and Handango. During this time, he spearheaded efforts to achieve new sales and revenue growth as well as foster business development activities.
Yarbrough holds a BA in Economics and Business from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Law. -
Arthur G. GiftakisVice President of Engineering and Operations

Mr. Giftakis currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Towerstream. Formerly Mr. Giftakis was Director of Engineering at Sockeye Networks, a BGP optimization company that was acquired by Internap. Prior to joining Sockeye, he was a Director at Navisite and Digital Broadband Communications. Mr. Giftakis spent 10 years with Bell Atlantic and has spoken in several forums on the future of telecommunications with fixed wireless. He has over 15 years of experience with advanced solutions in telecommunications. Mr. Giftakis started his career with New England Telephone.

Joseph HernonChief Financial Officer

Joseph joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in May 2008. Prior to joining Towerstream, Joseph served as CFO of Aqua Bounty Technologies, Inc., a public biotechnology company where he was part of the management team which completed an initial public offering in London in 2006. Previously, he was CFO of Alseres Pharmaceuticals, (formerly Boston Life Sciences Inc.), a NASDAQ listed, biopharmaceutical company where he was involved in a number of public and private financings. Earlier in his career, he spent almost 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, L.L.P., an international auditing, tax, and consulting firm. Joseph is a certified public accountant and holds an M.S. degree from Bentley College and a B.S. degree from the University of Lowell-Massachusetts.

Philip MongadaVice President of Human Resources

As Vice President of Human Resources for Towerstream, Mr. Mongada will be responsible to lead the HR function within the area of recruiting talent, performance management, compensation analysis, benefit plan design, and employee relations. These efforts will ensure Towerstream remains on course to attract and retain the resources required to successfully accomplish its business goals and objectives.
Mr. Mongada joins Towerstream after leading the Human Resources department for thirteen years at Kidde-Fenwal, a division of United Technologies that manufactures detection and alarm and fire suppression systems for industrial and commercial applications. Prior to Kidde-Fenwal, Mr. Mongada held various HR roles in both the manufacturing and higher education sectors. He holds a Bachelors degree in History from the State University College at Potsdam, New York and a Masters degree in Administration and Management from St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont.
